TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
PATRICK DAMORE, PGA PROFESSIONAL

My philosophy of teaching golf has remained very simple through the years.  I educate my students how ‘cause and effect’ relationships affect their ball flight.  Once my student understands ‘why’,  then my student can apply and improve.

Understand
(5 laws of ball flight)

Accept
(Your mind is a crucial instrument for improvement)

Apply
(Cause and effect relationships to improve ball flight)

Improve
(It will happen)

Notice Ernie Els' very passive footwork, relying on his torso to release the clubhead.Retain your posture at impact for solid contact.Phil Mickelson again shows that passive leg drive is here to stay.Copy these positions... PERFECT!Full extension through impact, again... PERFECT!Notice the 'chicken arm' finish for the Tiger Stinger.
